After a very busy year at Healthwatch Stockport, our team eagerly anticipates a well-deserved break, recharging to hit the ground running for the exciting plans we have in store for 2024!
Heartfelt thanks extend to each individual who has been a part of Healthwatch Stockport this year. Your involvement and continuous support no matter how big or small has been the driving force behind our accomplishments.
Looking ahead, there are plenty of opportunities to engage with Healthwatch Stockport, and in the New Year, we'll share more details. Whether you would like to become a volunteer member or know someone who does, then do get in touch for more details

Healthwatch Stockport Festive Opening Hours
The office will be closed to the public from Midday on Thursday 21 December until Monday 8 January 2024, however staff will be back in the office for training on Tuesday 3 January.
We will monitor our inbox and voicemail intermittently during this time in case urgent support is required.

Mental Health Support over Christmas
If you need to speak to someone in person, contact one of these organisations:
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust helpline
This is 24/7 mental health helpline to support people of all ages.
The support line is run by experienced mental health professionals who can provide mental health support and advice.
They can:
- Listen to you and help you work through immediate problems
- Work with you to find ways to move forward or suggest ways of working
- Give you information about other services that may be helpful to you or the person you care for

Open Door
Open Door is a Mental Health service that was commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care as part of the crisis pathway, to provide a safe space for the people of Stockport to access fast and timely support when feeling overwhelmed, stressed and unable to cope.
- Service hours are Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 12pm – 5pm.
- Service Users can drop in for support or self-refer via telephone 0161 549 9717, or email at opendoorstockport@makingspace.co.uk.
- They offer pre-bookable appointments and have a member of staff on duty every day to support those who drop in to our service.
