Maria Kildunne
Chief Officer
Maria supports the Board of Directors to ensure the smooth running of the organisation and exploring ways to help sustain Healthwatch Stockport in the long term. Maria has worked in the voluntary and public sector for over 20 years. She previously worked with Age UK Stockport, the David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy and other communication, engagement and participation roles. Maria has a degree in Biomedical Science and Health & Social Care, a diploma in Public Health and has attained management experience in Aspiring Leaders at Ashridge College. Her interests include sports - in particular Gaelic football - gardening and the welfare of animals.

Shirley Hamlett
Engagement Officer
Shirley joined the Healthwatch Stockport team in May 2020 and brought with her a wealth of knowledge around health services after working for the NHS for over 20 years. Her role at Healthwatch Stockport as Engagement Officer is to ensure local residents who have used health and care services are encouraged to feedback about their experience, be it good or bad. Gathering this data will help Healthwatch Stockport, working alongside members of the public and providers, improve local health and care services for the people of Stockport.
Shirley has many interests outside of work which include, walking, socializing with friends, enjoying time with her grandson and holidaying abroad.
Claire Roberts
Information Support Officer
Claire joined Healthwatch Stockport in April 2020 in the midst of the pandemic and helped to co-ordinate support for lots of the residents in Stockport, including arranging medication collections and helping to get food deliveries to people who were isolating. Claire has worked in various roles over the years including working for the NHS. Claire is our Information Support Officer and enjoys helping people in her role and ensuring she gets the best information or support for everyone contacting the Healthwatch Stockport office.
Outside of work Claire is very family orientated and loves to spend time with them, she also likes going for walks and seeing friends.
Alison Johnson
Senior Officer
Ali joined Healthwatch Stockport in the summer of 2023, having previously worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years. She started as a manager in the Patient Advice Liaison Service and then had many years of experience in performance and project management. In her role with Healthwatch, she supports Maria, overseeing the delivery plan that encompasses the various workstreams we are working on, Ali also supports the Lived Experience Panel.
Outside of work, Ali enjoys swimming, walking, and cooking for and spending time with family and friends. Ali also enjoy most sports, but just watching these days!
Michelle McManus
Communications Officer
Michelle started volunteering with Healthwatch Stockport in 2020 and officially joined in March 2023 as the Social Media Officer, progressing on to Communications Officer in September 2023. Michelle has previously led the Connect 5 programme for Stockport Mind and worked in the fashion and retail sector as an internal communications and employee engagement specialist for 15 years. In her role, Michelle creates communication campaigns, including social, weekly bulletins and more to build awareness of Healthwatch Stockport and our role. She is currently reviewing and developing some of our communication channels to extend our community reach.
Michelle's interests include going to gigs and festivals, visiting art and design exhibitions, vintage fairs, and quality time with loved ones. Michelle enjoys yoga and walking (often taking tons of photos of her walks).
