Healthwatch Stockport festive hours
Our office will close on Thursday 23rd December 2022 and re-open on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
If your enquiry is urgent, please email the generic email inbox info@healthwatchstockport.co.uk which will be checked intermittently over the Christmas period.
Festive Feedback Forum
Thank you to all those who attended our Festive Feedback Forum last Wednesday. It was excellent to see so many members and local organisations in attendance. Thank you to our guest speakers Councillor Hunter, Caroline Simpson, Councillor Holloway and Helen Coombes for attending and providing an opportunity for Stockport residents to share their thoughts about health and social care in the locality. Further summary materials, as well as a feedback survey, well be sent to all those who attended. We look forward to our next Feedback Forum event!
Job Centre Plus opening times over Christmas and New Year
Message from Jenny Stanton:
Closed on Monday 26th December and Tuesday 27th December. Offices are closed on Wednesday 28th December but phone lines will be open for missing or urgent payments only. Offices and phone lines will operate as normal on Thursday 29th December and Friday 30th. Closed on Monday 2nd January 2023.
Warm spaces match funding opportunity with Co-op
'Community groups across the UK are providing safe, warm places for people to come together and access services and activities. That’s why today we’ve launched a £1m warm spaces funding boost to help you provide vital support to your community this winter.
We have teamed up with Crowdfunder to offer match funding of up to £3,000 per project – for every pound that you raise Co-op will match this, with no minimum fundraising requirement.
You have until 28 February to apply but we’re expecting lots of applications, so please apply as soon as possible.'

Message from Julia Hewer from Signpost for Carers:
'In an extension of their Home Support Hub partnership, Age UK Stockport, Disability Stockport and Signpost Stockport for Carers will be supporting 10GM and the VCSE Hospital Discharge Alliance in upscaling and enhancing Stockport’s VCSE response to known hospital admission and discharge pressures. The organisations submitted a successful joint bid for some additional funding to enable them to deliver this work over the winter months (Dec 20– Feb 2023) and are looking forward to offering additional targeted support to Stockport residents over this period. '
