Exploring differences in experiences in Dementia

Details from Amal Morsi, Dementia United, NHS Greater Manchester

Please find attached the HINTED study poster. We need support helping to spread the word about the study. The study is exploring the differences in experiences of people with Dementia and their Carers from the following ethnic groups; African, Caribbean, Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani. The study is recruiting anyone from one or more of the following groups;

• Are you someone living with dementia?

• Are you caring for someone with dementia in the later stages?

• Have you previously cared for someone with dementia?

The study will involve an interview with the team and will centre on care at the later stages of Dementia. This could be the care you'd like to receive in the future as a person with Dementia, or the experiences you've had as someone who is, or was, caring for someone with advanced dementia (this interview can be done online or over the phone if needed).

Anyone who takes part will receive a £10 gift voucher as a thank you.

If you know of any groups or individuals that would be interested, please share ans ask them to contact the study team.
