Latest Statement from Director of Public Health
Message from Alison North (Stockport Council)
There has been a rise in rates this week in Stockport and cases are currently at 388.2* per 100,000 population: around 162.7 people per day. See the latest published data online.
With Easter school holidays less than a month, we have focused on the travel arrangements you need to comply with if you are going abroad and how to reduce the risk of catching and passing on covid. Here is the latest Statement from the Director of Public Health
This week we have been focusing on booster and vaccine clinics along with the usual covid safety messaging. We are also drafting up some comms for the 23 March which is the national day of reflection and I will share this once approved. It would be good for us all to share and join in with this national day.
Travelling to Healthcare Sites Engagement Opportunity
Message from Jade Gregory-Haselden (Transport for Greater Manchester)
To help reduce carbon emissions, supporting NHS and wider government goals, TfGM’s Customer Experience team are exploring how we may be able to increase the number of trips to healthcare sites via sustainable transport modes; and what provision is needed to help facilitate this change.
At the end of March, TfGM’s Customer Experience Team will deliver two virtual engagement workshops to learn more about the travel experiences of patients, visitors and staff. The sessions will gather feedback about the practical issues encountered when travelling to healthcare sites and views on sustainable transport modes.
The virtual engagement workshops will take place on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th March via Teams. The same workshop will be delivered twice, with one daytime slot and one evening slot. All workshop tickets are FREE and can be booked via the following Eventbrite links:
We encourage people to sign up for the workshops before midday on Tuesday 22 March.
For anyone who has any accessibility needs, which they would like to make us aware of, please email engagement@tfgm.com before midday on Tuesday 22 March.
This toolkit provides resources to help you promote this engagement opportunity across your channels. We’d be grateful of any amplification you can provide across your networks.
