Age UK Stockport
Age UK Stockport is an independent local charity who offer a free and confidential information and advice service for older people, their families and carers. The team can help you with benefits, Blue Badge Applications, housing, consumer and utilities problems, legal and financial matters, paying for care, reducing loneliness and more. Age UK are happy to speak to third parties on behalf of clients to resolve problems.
All of their advisors are trained to give general advice but also with a focus on issues affecting those in later life, their carers and families. They also link closely with the new Stockport Targeted Prevention Alliance (of which Age UK Stockport is part) and a range of other services provided by both Age UK Stockport and other partner agencies.

Creative support
Creative Support are a not-for-profit organisation who promote the independence, inclusion and wellbeing of people with care and support needs. They do this by working with the people they support, their families and partner agencies to deliver services to meet individual needs and aspirations.
They provide services and support for people with:
- learning disabilities
- autism and mental health needs
- physical disabilities
- dementia
They also support older people with their care needs.
- supported living
- residential care
- community support
- respite services
- domiciliary care
They're also a major provider of supported housing many of which have been adapted to individual needs.
The supported living services they offer for people with a learning disability are recognised for enabling people to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Reengage
Re-engage is making life less lonely for thousands of older people every year. Older people tell us that our volunteer-led activities make them happier and more able to trust others.
As we get older, our social circles diminish, and we find ourselves with fewer and fewer people to turn to. Imagine realising one day that all your friends and family have gone from your life. Loneliness can be cruel, and it affects millions of people over 75 who live in social isolation.
