FOCUS ON: Living Well in Stockport Model

Stockport has seen a significant increase in the diagnosis of serious mental health conditions in recent times. This has led to the development of the Living Well In Stockport Model. We need your lived experience feedback to help support this!

What is Living Well in Stockport?

Living Well is part of Greater Manchester’s Community Mental Health Transformation, a commitment to improve the accessibility, quality, and impact of mental health care.

It aims to bring together primary, secondary, and Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) services to help adults with complex mental health needs recover and stay well within their communities.

What does the Living Well model aim to do?

  • Provide easy access to personalised care and support
  • Empower individuals to manage their mental health
  • Involve people’s lived experience in shaping services
  • Connect primary and secondary services
  • Work together with local groups and volunteer services

It is essential that the lived experience of people with complex mental health needs are involved and heard in the ongoing development of the Living Well model.
