Join us this February for 'Share for Better Care Week'.

Get involved in a national week of action to help more people have a stronger voice in their care.

It's common to leave a review about a meal or holiday, but six in ten people don’t remember ever having shared feedback about local health and social care services.

You can help change this by supporting Share for Better Care Week, which begins on 24 February 2025

How to get involved:

Public feedback about NHS and social care support helps services spot problems, identify what's working well, and what needs to change.

Whether you work in the NHS or social care or receive support from them as a resident, you can play your part by asking others to give just three minutes to share feedback on care..... as well as sharing your own experiences.

Here at Healthwatch Stockport, we involve and listen to our local community’s experiences of using health and care services all year round. Share for better Care week is a hugely important week for us, as together with all 152 Healthwatch, we're shining an even bigger spotlight on how important is it to have your say.

Why share your feedback?

It's easy to think that your feedback won't make a difference but, to us, you come first, especially if you find it hard to be heard elsewhere. A small conversation can make a big difference.

With your help we can influence and challenge how local services are run. We have the power to influence, make recommendations and ensure decision makers hear your views to improve the quality of care for us all.

Make a difference

If you use GPs, hospitals, dentists, pharmacies, community or care services, we want to hear your experiences - good, bad or in-between. You can share feedback in the following ways:

If you don't already, give us a follow on social media. We're on Facebook, Instagram, Linked in and X (formally Twitter). Don't forget to like, comment and share our posts to spread the word.

More about the week

Despite having busy lives, most people are willing to spare a few minutes to share their care experiences, especially if they think it will help improve health services.

Share for Better Care Week will highlight how everyone can transform an everyday spare moment — whether waiting for the kettle to boil or the bus to arrive — into an opportunity to make a positive impact by sharing feedback about their care.

By getting involved, you can raise awareness about why health and social care services value feedback, and the difference it makes and encourage more people to act.
